Mystery of the missing Echo ad.

For those of you who looked in tonight's Echo to see who was at the church tonight and over the weekend, and could not find the advertisement, you are not suffering from a case of blindness, just a genuine lapse of memory on my part.
I must take full responsibility for the missing ad, reason , I forgot.
At least it shows that I am not perfect and make mistakes,(my wife Pat can verify that). One good thing is that I saved the church some money.
Here is the programme for the weekend:

Saturday Demonstration of Mediumship ----- Mr George Seaton,
Sunday 11am Divine Service ------ Mr Paul Challenger.
Sunday 6pm Divine Service ------- Mrs Carol Ellis
Allow me to apologize again for my slip-up.

You are a responsible officer of the
the church and in my opinion you should not be so flippant.

Like Abe Lincoln said," You can please all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you cant please all of the people all of the time".I will keep on trying to do it though, but feel that it is an up-hill struggle with some people.

At least I gave my name

Everyone is allowed to make mistakes, but not if you are committee apparently. Carry on doing what you are doing Phil, but don't tell everyone that it was you who forgot if it happens again.

I am grateful to the anonymous first contributor on this post for forcing me to say what perhaps I would otherwise not have said.

Thank you Phil for the many contributions you make to the church. Most of these are decidely unappealing and lacking in glamour and public recognition.

Thank you too to Pat who also contributes in a major way. I hope you will soon be up and about again Pat.

As I have said before yours is the best cup of tea of the week and a few minutes badinage with you is always an uplifting experience.

You reminded me at the last Open Circle, just before you dropped off, that when I point I am pointing three fingers at myself. Clearly this is a message worthy of wider circulation.

Kind regards.

Don't "DIS" Phil

As an accountant I advise my clients "Honesty is the best policy
and there is a saying in welsh when we talk about respect for another person; which is

"disgyn ar dy fai"

which translates as (falling on your blame) where blame equates to sword

Just another reason why Phil get my respect

AND a BIG thanks to Jan for her words as well as for HER contributions behind the scenes

I'd also like to bring to Anonymous's attention that we constantly get messages from those in spirit of how much they thrive on a vibration raised by laughter and humour - and to quote Oscar Wilde

"Life is too important to be taken seriously."

Anonymous - Would you consider making yourself known to me in confidence so that we can look at positive ways that you can help with the running of your church - along the lines of "It's' not what your church can do for you but what YOU can do for your church
