It was a very nice evening service at Park Grove last Sunday - I enjoyed the opportunity of putting my foot up and listened avidly to Ron May and following his though provoking address - I feel we should have a "thought for the week" and we should start where Ron's address left off on the positive note of "Remember"....

I take the liberty of commenting on last night`s service as Phil the Blog has not blogged ...yet. I hope all is well.
Ron`s philosophy was inspired by Red Cloud. Both were new to me.Their message was we have all been trained to mourn at the passing of our loved ones whereas really we should rejoice. I agree but the black dog of grief still paws at you when you meet the ones left behind.
As for evidence if you didn`t have a communication how can you assess the quality of the evidence?

But I had several communications.

And the evidence was powerful and deeply moving and also funny. What can you say when someone brings back one of your life`s most unforgettable characters and he makes you publicly confirm the impact on you of spiritualism? Billy Graham eat your heart out. What can you say when one of your favourite uncles reminds you of the chickens next door? We lived in a built up area. My mother confirmed today that the rat man was swinging 7 rats in his hands as a result of those chickens the first time he called and my uncle would not have been slow to get many laughs out of this.

How strong was the evidence? Very, very strong. Many thanks Ron.

This is just the type of event which helps me along with my week -

I now listen very carefully to other peoples messages - and appreciate the difference it can make to peoples live when the truth they seek is made tangible.

Many people - "switch off" when the message is not directly for them thinking that it's not relevant to them.

I now believe that all the messages we can hear has some meaning and purpose for us - I feel that spirit have probably encouraged us to be at a certain place and time to hear the words spoken - and if we are lucky to have a bit of spare time! ( while enjoying a cup of tea possibly) - we can reflect on those words/message
